My first and foremost goal as a sound professional is to be an agile and careful listener. To borrow a term from the fields of education and acoustic ecology, I aim to be ear-minded.
I build the trust of my clients through attention to detail, efficient and effective session management, providing a sounding board for creative descisions, and delivering a unique and outstanding end product.
Since 2011 I've worked as a staff sound designer and composer at ARU in Chicago on a wide variety of projects inluding TV and radio commericals, digital media, animatics, audiobooks, and independent films. In addition to my creative role, I assist with studio technical operations and IT management.
A recent career highlight was my nomination for a 2016 MPSE Golden Reel award in the Special Venue category for my work on The Great Chicago Adventure, a short film installed at the Chicago History Museum.
I received an MA in Music from the University of York, UK in 2006, and I maintain an active musical life outside of post production.
